Chief 7 arrived with fire through the roof in the C/D area of a 1 story single family dwelling. As engine companies arrived, they laid supply lines and stretched lines to the dwelling. Multiple handlines were in service and as they worked together there was a water supply issue causing command to call for an evacuation of the dwelling. As command did that, the interior crews got their water back and were able to knock down the majority of the fire which command saw and allowed them to stay inside to finish hitting the fire and hot spots. The fire was brought under control within 45 minutes.
